Diamond Delivery proudly unveils one of their semi-trailers carrying the BGCGV logo to help increase BGCGV’s profile throughout the Greater Vancouver area.

A challenge for many not-for-profits is lack of awareness in the community. By displaying the logo on one of our fleet vehicles, not only are we helping the BGCGV brand but we are also showing that our company is a supporter of this worthwhile and very valuable organization. Our hope is that we encourage other corporate organizations to show their support.

Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Vancouver, founded in 1936, is a leading provider of programs that support the healthy physical, educational, and social development of 4,000 young people and their families in the community. The seven Clubs in the Greater Vancouver area create a safe supportive environment where children, youth, and families can experience new opportunities, overcome barriers, build positive relationships, and develop confidence and skills for life. For additional information, please visit their website http://www.bgc-gv.bc.ca/index.asp

From adherence to a strong recycling policy, using environmentally friendly cleaning products and landscaping practices in and around our offices to the utilization of less polluting vehicles, Diamond is continually looking at better ways in which we can contribute to a healthier environment.

To honour this commitment, we have adopted a street. Comber Way is now officially cared for by Diamond staff. Look for our staff on Fridays helping to keep our environment safe and clean.

We at Diamond Delivery have a heart for West Africa and its people. We invite you to join us in addressing a much neglected area of health care, because of a lack of experienced workers and specialized facilities. We are proud sponsors of a new hospital facility in Accra, capital of Ghana, the Korle-Bu Neuroscience Centre, dedicated to treating conditions affecting the brain and the spine. You too can help. Click on the link to Korle-Bu http://www.kbnf.org, go to www.6380.ca or phone 877-IOU-6380 to find out how. A show of heart from you will help heal brains and spines, allowing ordinary West African people to return to work.

Cancer touches all of us

And, in a strange way, Cancer unites us. We all know someone who has battled Cancer. Some of us have experienced the tragedy first hand when a family member has fought bravely and lost.

Diamond Delivery has made a generous donation in the memory of Devon Sutton-Havard to the Canadian Cancer Society. Devon was a 19 year old resident of Aldergrove, BC who was beloved by his family, friends and community. He fought valiantly for 1 ½ years before succumbing to the terrible illness.

As an example of good Corporate Stewardship, Diamond Delivery challenges all other Lower Mainland businesses to join the fight against Cancer by donating generously to the Canadian Cancer Society. Let’s make Cancer history.
